An estimated 300, plus, people attended the official opening of

"NOW YOU SEE IT."

Visitors from Japan, England and the Netherlands were on hand to sample the hospitality of the Albany International Airport and

The Society of American Magicians.

Members of Assembly #24 greeted everyone with smiles, handshakes and magic.

Several tables of trays containing hors-de oeuvres, cheeses and crudités were placed around the venue. Wine and soft drinks were also available. These culinary morsels were available for 2 1/2 hours.

Over 5,000 square feet of space was dedicated to the displays, which were tastefully designed and lighted.

When Sharon Bates visited Bob and Linda Connors’ home was when she discovered Bob’s magic collection. Her reason for the visit was to pick out a few items for an upcoming exhibit on unusual collectables. She and Bob agreed that a major exhibit could be done.

Several months later the plan came to fruition. The results are shown in these photos.

Although the exhibit contains an amazing variety of antique and modern magic, the integrity of the effects remains secure.

Through a variety of techniques, the public is not able to ascertain the working of the magic.

Since the “Metamorphosis” was readily available for inspection, several visitors carefully looked it over, but were unable to discover its workings.

Securely bound with hidden wires and other devices, the props that are not enclosed in Plexiglas are secure from theft. Security cameras whose monitors are constantly manned monitor the entire display area.
